The purpose of the Academic Gathering is to enhance the management capabilities of upper level executives and administrators of universities and high education institutions. It will augment participant’s skills for the exercise of management and coordination functions in high education institutions. The participants will acquire a thorough knowledge about the worldwide policies of the educational sector. They will also develop the abilities to manage educational organisations and their human resources, as well as to make pedagogical planning and to evaluate performance and skills. In addition, financial planning and budgetary competences will be addressed.

The case study will provide insights into the internal dynamics of British Universities concerning its management structure and collegiate system. It will also give the insider’s knowledge into fundraising and alumni relations with the focus on how these two major stands of the University activities are interlinked to lead to the further prosperity of a higher educational institution. The workshop will contain examples of successful campaigns, including their logistics and results, as well as case studies which can be used as examples of best practice for other universities. The sessions will be illustrated with the materials for the benefit of maintaining successful alumni relations and exemplary fundraising efforts.
