The Academic Union Expert Centre seminars are designed to ensure that both you and your organisation get the maximum return on investment. Delegates leave our expert sessions with greater confidence in their ability to achieve their professional and personal aims. They return to the workplace better equipped to contribute fully to their organization’s success. How do I register on the seminar?

There are 2 easy ways to register to the seminars:

How do I pay?

We are flexible about methods of payment too – so simply choose the method that’s best for you. We accept cash, credit cards and Bank transfers. All bank details are included on the invoice. When do the seminars start and end?

Daily sessions are typically starts from 9:30 am to 2:30pm including lunch and refreshments. In the first half-hour, you’ll register and get a chance to meet your fellow delegates over a coffee.

 

Who are the expert session moderators?

All of our expert sessions and seminars are delivered by a team of highly qualified, experienced and specialist moderators. They share cutting-edge experience in the field in which they speak up and exemplary presentation skills. More detailed information on our moderators is available upon request.

 

What is included in the fees?

The fees include participation to the whole agenda, lunch and refreshments during the seminar days, Certificate of Attendance, a scanned copy of a Visa Invitation Letter, Invitation link to the online meeting.

 

Can I use additional services of the Academic Lounge?

Can you recommend any accommodation?

How many people on a course?

We strictly limit delegate numbers, to ensure each delegate receives the best experience possible. The maximum group size ranges from 6 to 12.

 

Do I receive a certificate?

Yes. You will receive a Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the expert session. The Certificate of Attendance is granted to both attending and distant participants.

 

What to bring?

Everything you need at the expert session will be provided, unless we let you know otherwise.

 

What to wear?

Smart casual dress code is highly recommended to keep to the a business atmosphere at the event.

 

What if I cancel the registration?  

There are several options in case you would like to cancel a registration.

  • 1. Personal substitution

If a registrant is unable to attend an event for any reason, she / he may, obtaining previous agreement from the event organisers, substitute (her/ himself) with another person from the same institute / organisation.

  • 2. Event substitution

If a registrant is unable to attend, and providing the event organisers are informed in writing by the final date for payment, that is 7 days prior to the date of the event, a registrant can leave the fee paid with the organisers as payment towards a place at the same event or another event that will take place in the 12 months following the originally booked event.

  • 3. Cancellation effects

Where the registrant in unable to attend, and is not possible to transfer her/his place to another person or to another event, then the following refund arrangements apply:

- 80% of the registration fees will be refunded if the cancellation occurred in written form more than 60 days before the event;

- 50% of the registration fees will be refunded if the cancellation occurred in written form less than 60 but more than 30 days before the event;

- Registrations cancelled less than 30 days before the event, in any form, or cancelled without being in a written form at any time, will not be eligible for a refund at all.

Refunds will be made only via bank transfer to the payee nominated account.

Please note: For payments received from outside the UK, the refund will be made also by bank transfer and all bank charges will be the registrant’s responsibility.

What are recommendations for UK visa application?

The regular visa procedure takes from 14 to 21 working days and can be extended in some cases, so we recommend you apply as soon as you decided to attend Expert Sessions of The Academic Union Expert Centre to have enough time for visa procedure. Since the session takes place in Oxford, it is recommended to book a hotel near the venue and attach a copy of the reservation document to the application for a visa. Also, it is desirable to provide a copy of air tickets reservation.

  

What if I fail to get a UK visa?

Obtaining Entry Visas is a sole responsibility of participants and failed visa applications are not eligible for refund.

We have another suggestion for delegates without Visa - Distant participation option. As a prepayment, you could choose this package, we will send you letters for Visa application and in case registrant gets the refusal from the British embassy, the representatives from your company could participate online in our Session. After the end of the Session, you will receive Certificate of attendance. Thus, you will participate without loss.
